As the Head of Marketing at Buncha, I’ve had the unique opportunity to shape and drive the marketing strategy for a dynamic startup from its inception. Joining the team before our official launch, I’ve been instrumental in building our brand identity, crafting our go-to-market strategy, and establishing a strong presence in the market.

In this role, I oversee all aspects of our marketing efforts, including:

Designed print materials, created social media content and copy, wrote long-form articles, improved website UX, and implemented new organizational processes to increase clients, volunteers, and overall brand awareness. Collaborated closely with the Volunteer Manager to build a volunteer outreach team and sought new partnerships and opportunities to enhance the visibility of the non-profit organization.

Communications + Public Relations Associate, Anoka-Hennepin Schools | Sept 2019 – Sept 2021
As a member of a five person team in the largest school district in Minnesota, each day requires flexibility and the willingness to adapt to ever-changing situations. Routine responsibilities include graphic design, creating presentations and documents, producing podcasts, editing articles, formatting weekly e-newsletters, and fielding emails. Other efforts include aiding in a website re-design (department meetings, tracking analytics and user behavior, field research, editing pages and drafting layouts), managing the creation of the quarterly publication and creating content for televised broadcasts.

  • Received the Good Neighbor Award from WCCO for the production of the district’s first ever podcast, Parent Engage 360 – a series hosting internal and external guests to discuss relevant, impactful topics and highlight district and community resources. Responsibilities include: securing guests, choosing topics, writing questions, recording and editing.

  • Planned and executed the first Parent Engage 360 in-person event, which amassed more than 500 attendees, 14 external vendors and covered the topic of mental health.

  • Assisted in navigating the transition from classroom education to distance learning – designing the Return to School Roadmap Guidebook.

Client: Slipstreamer, Inc., Blaine, MN | 2018 - 2021
Established and managing social media accounts, designing content and implementing digital strategy. Publish Google Ads and social media posts and connect with influencers to develop partnerships that lead to further brand awareness and revenue generation.

  • Generated a 500% increase in custom windshield sales within first six months.

  • Proposed the idea, which gained approval, to place window clings on each outgoing windshield with social media call-outs to encourage customer engagement and promotion, resulting in social media recognition worldwide, from Canada to Japan to Israel and beyond.

Client: Zenaviv, Ashburn, VA | 2018 - 2019
Employed market research, constructed a business plan and designed new product specs ahead of a company re-launch. Edited website content and recommended changes to elevate user-friendliness and improve overall aesthetic. Developed a social media calendar and curated content for posting. Initiated business and influencer partnerships, resulting in sales increases, four commissioned corporate murals, podcast interview opportunities and publication features.

Assisted an emerging business in the realms of digital strategy, social media, photography, blogging and website design prior to company launch. Captured photos, created content calendars and carefully curated aesthetically pleasing Instagram layouts in order to engage customers and bring attention to the new brand. Sought out brand influencers and company partnerships, authored blogs, wrote compelling copy and assisted with both model and product photoshoots through the shot lists and curating sets.

Marketing + Events Specialist, Hy-Vee, Twin Cities Locations | July 2016- Sept 2017 [position eliminated after market was established]
Charged with all marketing operations for two Twin Cities Hy-Vee locations and their Market Grille restaurants, both pre- and post-market launch. Collaborated with headquarters to release corporate promotions and ensure individual stores did not run overlapping specials. Met with department managers to implement upcoming deals and record videos, took photos and designed content to go along with them. Conducted consumer research and analyzed trends to constantly improve strategy. Established partnerships with local businesses and community organizations, opening up opportunities for food donations and expansion of brand awareness.

  • Brainstormed, planned, budgeted, marketed and executed 51 events and community involvement opportunities - majority with 200+ attendees.

  • Increased Brooklyn Park Hy-Vee Facebook page following by 343%, totaling 18.8K followers and increased sales on 126 singular products by an average of 82% through Facebook marketing.

  • Hosted a car show - 100 cars registered with registration fees and a percent of food sales benefiting Susan G. Komen; total donation amount: $1547.
